I saw this funny comic today on Shortpacked and I couldn’t resist to borrow it. Have fun!

I just came across this enjoyable short story/comic called “Mister Bookseller” by Darko Macan and Tihomir Celanovic and I thought it might interest you too, so just follow the link and enjoy.

So yesterday I visited the Luxembourgian comic festival and came back with a bag of new graphic novels and comics to read and review. Initially I had also planned to do a short interview with ND!, the artist behind “De leschte Ritter”, but I think I will postpone this to a later date, when the page has had a lot more clicks.

Like every year, most retailers had a lot more “Bande Dessinées” than normal comic books on display, but for once this was actually a good thing. I found a collector’s edition of Pascal Croci’s Le ditpyque Dracula. It contains both volumes of his Dracula saga called Dracula : Le prince valaque Vlad Tepes and Dracula : Le mythe raconté par Bram Stoker. The other French book I got was La Chute de la Maison Usher by Nicolas Guillaume, a graphic novel about Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Fall of the House of Usher”, using the official tradition by Charles Baudelaire. Comic wise I got the first two paperbacks of DMZ, the two paperback edition of Batman: Hush and the three book edition of Sin City: Hell and Back. Most of these will be reviewed here, as soon as I get around to reading them.

Except for the getting soaked by the surprise rainfall, it was a really successful festival in my opinion. Most artist stands where overrun by eager fans, who were hoping for a dedication or an autograph and from my point of view it seemed like this year, there were more visitors than usual. After the festival we thought it might be a good idea to round of this day of comics with a viewing of the Incredible Hulk (which finally came out here last week). More about this tomorrow, right here!

As I already mentioned in my first post, this blog will be about anything to do with graphic novels. Furthermore I’ll review superhero or other fantastic and supernatural movies and shows that I think might contribute to the format of this page. I’ll also try to review a few monthly publications like Batman, Buffy the Vampire Slayer – Season 8, Angel – After the Fall, and a few others that I read regularly. It’s not always easy to get a hold of these comics here in Luxembourg, but I’ll try to review them as quickly as possible. If any of you are interested  in contributing to this project I’ll have no problem to post guest reviews or articles, so you are very welcome to send them to me if you want.

Furthermore I will post a bunch of links once a week or once a month (not sure yet) including pages and articles from the web that you might enjoy. There should be a post everyday from Mondays to Fridays so stay tuned and enjoy your weekend.

As I have been blogging regularly on two other pages for the past couple of months I decided to dedicate a space to one of my favorite pastimes: graphic novels. This blog will mostly feature reviews of different issues, from all the major comic book publishers. Some of them will be standalone graphic novels (like Alan Moore’s V for Vendetta for example) and others will be monthly issues that I am currently reading. I will try to give my opinion on the stories, the ink and other specific details that will come up during a read.

When my mother first bought me a Batman comic when I was still fairly young, I was immediately hooked. Living in Luxembourg (that tiny country in Western Europe), it was always difficult to acquire comic books in English. So I had to make do with the publications from the Panini Verlag that published most of the popular DC and Marvel Comics at the time. Over the years I collected a lot of different series and the passion for this type of entertainment medium has never left me since childhood. So here it is; my own personal tribute to the graphic worlds. Enjoy and feel free to share your own opinion on the different issues that will be reviewed here.
